Founder's Story (Brian Jon Garvey)
I created STAKR™ because social media started feeling… dead.
Every app became the same thing:
scrolling,
swiping,
watching strangers dance,
arguing with bots,
doom-scrolling headlines,
and wasting hours consuming content we forgot five minutes later.
Meta became birthday reminders.
TikTok started feeling like an endless algorithm war.
Everything became passive.
And honestly?
My ADHD brain got bored.
I kept thinking:
What happened to FUN?
What happened to creativity?
To competition?
To real people doing outrageous, hilarious, inspiring things together?
I didn’t want another app where people just watch life.
I wanted a platform where people participate in it.
That’s where STAKR™ was born.
A place where Watchers create challenges.
Gamers accept them.
Communities rally around them.
And viral moments become rewards.
Some challenges will be hilarious.
Some inspiring.
Some completely insane.
But all of them bring something the internet has been losing:
