JetFinz was created by Brian Jon Garvey after observing that rescue swimmers were still using the same fin technology he trained with as a U.S. Navy Rescue Swimmer decades earlier. Brian Jon Garvey's Story
Brian Jon Garvey’s journey has been shaped by resilience, discipline, and a relentless drive to build and create.
From early achievements as a competitive athlete and award-winning musician, to serving as a U.S. Navy Helicopter Rescue Swimmer, Brian developed a foundation of performance under pressure, leadership, and perseverance. He later built a career as an international architectural lighting designer, further strengthening his ability to merge creativity with technical execution.
Like many entrepreneurs, his path has included both success and adversity. Periods of hardship—including times living with minimal resources—sharpened his focus, strengthened his resolve, and reinforced his commitment to building something meaningful.
These experiences ultimately led Brian to create and scale VATA7, a patented Smart LED safety platform that has grown into a global brand focused on saving lives and improving rider visibility.
Today, as Founder of BRAIN-GRAVEY, Brian applies that same discipline and experience toward developing and advancing new technologies across multiple industries. His focus is simple:

For 250 Years, We Have Stood
I grew up watching my father put on a Navy uniform for 28 years.
He didn’t speak much about sacrifice. He lived it. Deployments. Missed moments. Quiet strength. When the flag moved, he stood taller. When the Anthem played, his hand never hesitated.
That example became my compass.
So I joined the Navy. I became a Rescue Swimmer — a frogman — trained to drop into violent seas to pull others home. In the dark. In storms. In waters that don’t forgive.
Up there, before you hit the ocean, something becomes clear:
Courage isn’t loud.
It’s steady.
It’s choosing to go when others cannot.
And when I think about America at 250 years, I don’t see just history books.
I see fathers leaving home.
Sons and daughters growing up and doing the same.
Generations standing in the gap.
My father stood.
I stood.
And for 250 years, millions have stood —
so the next could rise free.
That legacy lives in me.
It shapes how I lead.
It shapes what I build.
It shapes why I believe America’s greatest days are still ahead.
